Cons
- The Shark Steam Pocket Mop S3601 can smear the dirt around rather than the pads picking it up. Pads are not of such good quality as those that come with other steam mops.
- The Shark Steam Pocket Mop S3601 can leave the floors clean but looking dull.
- The swivel head does tend to move around a lot so if you want to rest it you need to prop it up in a corner.
- The water tank is not located in the power head although it could provide a better grip for the pad to the floor.
- There is a no On or Off switch so the only way to switch the machine is to pull the plug out from the socket on the wall. This is a pain especially if you are in the middle of cleaning.
- On the Shark Steam Pocket Mop S3601 the dust feature does not, work effectively just tends to push dust around.
- For some reason this can’t keep a continual flow of steam going. It will get going then suddenly start to gurgle and the steam will stop.
- Sometimes this product leaves streaks on the floor.
Summary

The Shark Steam Pocket Mop S3601D is a good steam mop for cleaning your hard floor surfaces. But will be much better if you use it on tiles as it makes it sparkling shiny.
I especially like the steam facet to this and just how quick the floors dry. Although it has 3 scrubbing setups for wiping it does not seem to scrub really hard which I find is the only disadvantage.
Nonetheless I still find I have to scrub with pressure on higher traffic areas. This may not be an issue with it yet instead my expectation was that heavy steam would simply shed dust away very easily. Even with the extra settings and the automatic steaming without needing to pump the device are fantastic enhancements to earlier designs. I have the ability to wipe our entire kitchen area in a few minutes and clean up is just tossing the cover in the wash!
Could not be happier with this, especially with a canine as well as a muddy yard that is prone to showing up inside.
